Born in Jersey, an island between England and France, on the 5th of May 1983, Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill was educated at St. Michael’s Preparatory School before attending Stowe School where he soon established himself as a lead in the school’s theatre productions. Off stage, his interests led towards the rugby pitch and the various other classic pursuits a boy at boarding school typically enjoys.
A successful film and television actor, Cavill won over audiences in the acclaimed The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) and I Capture the Castle (2003). Henry is perhaps best known for his role as Charles Brandon, King Henry VIII's best friend, in the Showtime series The Tudors (2007) and has recently finished filming the third series. Henry can also been seen this year playing the leading role in Joel Schumacher’s latest blockbuster, Town Creek.
